PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Karen’s professional portfolio includes working with top salons such as Bumble and Bumble NYC, Van Michael Salons Atlanta and Alpharetta, and Dragonfly Salon Atlanta, and she owned a Bumble and Bumble network salon in New Jersey called Bella Rose Salon from 2005-2010 before relocating to Atlanta with her family in 2010.
Her training in advanced haircutting techniques have taken her to Vidal Sassoon in London and Miami, Toni & Guy NYC, Van Michael Salon Atlanta, Bumble and Bumble Salon NYC, and Arrojo Salon NYC. Her makeup training skills have taken her to take advanced makeup workshops in NYC for film, fashion, tv and print.
During that time she worked as a stylist, organized photo shoots with her staff, taught classes in haircutting, make up, and business development. She organized and held various events and fundraisers in the community.
Her freelance work includes hair and makeup for film, print, television, art direction, model coaching, talent development, music videos, commercials, runway and photo shoots.
Her work hasn’t been limited to hair and makeup. More recently included social media photography, art direction and design projects for Lotus Marketing a Global Agency specializing in travel and hospitality from 2021-2022. Her projects included hotel, restaurants, and lounges in Atlanta and California.
Karen has worked with celebrities actors Judy Reyes (best known for her work on the television show Scrubs, Devious Maids, and CLAWS ), Ana Ortiz (best known for ABC series Ugly Betty), Eric Winter ( best known for ABC drama The Rookie) on an independent film with Film writer/director George Valencia, Grammy Award winning recording artist USHER for Hollywood Reporter, Comedian Anjelah Johnson, and Actress Mayte Garcia (formerly known as ex-wife of Prince).
In addition providing hair and makeup for fashion shows, national magazines, tv networks, and film that include:
Charleston Fashion Week, CMT, Adult Swim, Turner Broadcasting, and Cartoon Network, Authority Films, ABC Extreme Makeover, Hellfish Films, Loestrin Commercial, Modern Luxury Magazine, 40/74 Magazine, Asbury Park Press. DMAG, and The NY Times.

Karen was co -founder of Moda Creative Artists from 2011-2013. A group of artists that specializes in conceptual imagery and art direction for designer look books, magazines, lifestyle, and music.
